Spotlight: Learn About the World Tokenomic Forum

Blockchain Beach spent some time at the Blokhaus sponsored by the World Tokenomic Forum at South By Southwest 2018. The events of that week included talks with entrepreneur Gary Vanerchuk (Gary V to his social media fans), investor Michael Loeb, and World Tokenomic Forum Founder and Chairman Chris Snook.

It was there that we first learned about this organization that considers itself:

A social-enterprise think tank and premium membership consortium convening the world’s leaders in  digital currency, government, capital markets, and technology.

Blockchain Beach recently reconnected with Chairman Snook at the CryptoBlockCon Los Angeles Conference and was impressed by the depth and scale of the organization that has a mission to:

Enable public-private cooperation, economic interoperability, and innovation as we move to a new economic order in a token economy.

and a purpose of:

Building bridges and tearing down walls between decentralized and centralized economic institutions to create a new economic order that works for all humanity, honors innovation, and secures sovereignty.

This May, members will convene in the Cayman Islands to discuss the future agenda, network, celebrate and invest in top startups from around the globe to:

• Be a part of the most important conversations in cryptocurrency, policy, and the global “token” economy
• Create the deals and partnerships that matter
• Make annual commitments to selected opportunities for social good and give back

In addition, they have just announced the sixteen finalists for the Sandcastle Startups Challenge, with Blockchain companies competing from the industries of Cybersecurity, Identity, Infrastructure/Mobility, Payments, and Social Impact, the five themes of this year’s conference.

Chairman Snook commented:

Companies are competing for over $250,000 in total prizes.
