Block.one picks San Francisco to host first-ever U.S. EOS Blockchain Hackathon
Block.one, the company behind the EOS blockchain, announced Monday that its next hackathon event will be held in San Francisco on November 10-11, 2018.
The event will serve as Part Four in the five-part EOS Global Hackathon series that started in Hong Kong in June. The blockchain hackathon series is a first-of-its-kind event in the world of blockchain supporting the growth of a decentralized global community. At the Hong Kong event, 90 teams and over 350 entrants from 17 countries competed to build blockchain dApps on the EOSIO Platform.
The San Francisco event marks the first time that Block.one has hosted a hackathon in the Western Hemisphere.
Developers, designers and entrepreneurs who are interested in participating can sign-up via the EOS Hackathon website.
Earlier this month, Block.one CEO Brendan Blumer confirmed via Twitter that the company is working on a wallet that would provide support for native EOS tokens.
