UCLA: Blockfolio and Intaglio (Verified Event)
April 11, 2019 @ 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM PDT
UCLA presents two events for LA Blockchain Week. Free RSVP is required for each event here.
Blockfolio: 4pm – 5:30pm
Listen to Blockfolio’s Edward Moncada, CEO, and Jonathan Chu, VP of Product (Anderson ’12, UCLA ‘05) talk about how they built and scaled the world’s most popular cryptocurrency portfolio tracking app from the ground up.
Ed and Jon will be discussing the unique landscape that gave need to Blockfolio, how the company has achieved product-market fit on multiple occasions and evolved with the space, the nuances of startup fundraising in a volatile industry, and the general ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
Intaglio: 6pm – 8pm
Art on the Blockchain with Intaglio.
Intaglio is a blockchain company that provides a way for artists, collectors, and museums to verify the authenticity and provenance of artwork. Intaglio has a product that lets you digitally tag pieces of artwork and have that information stored on a blockchain. Hear from the folks behind Intaglio’s innovations in blockchain-based intellectual property management: Stuart Haber, whose cryptographic research is cited in the Bitcoin whitepaper, along with colleagues Loni Efron and James Garfinkle. They’ll discuss the Intaglio project, demo the technology, and more.
Verified Event: Representatives from Blockchain Beach have attended past Meetups from this event organizer with this event format.
